Bob Butterfield

Bob Butterfield is the Instructional Resources Service Director at University of Wisconsin - Stout. 

Bobbi Fields

Bobbi Fields is a Dean at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Bobbi is a member of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) OER network. She promotes the use of open and affordable educational resources at Moraine Park and throughout the WTCS. She co-presented session at the 2021 WTCS OER Symposium, highlighting the challenges and strategies to implementing OERs, with a focus on underserved student populations. Bobbi holds an undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration, a master’s degree in Public Administration, and is a doctoral candidate. The focus of her research is based upon addressing a non-cognitive skills gap through service-learning. 

Kate Farley

Katie Farley is an Instructional Technologist at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Stephen Kelly

Stephen Kelly directs the statewide innovation funding program within the Minnesota State colleges and universities system. Stephen has over 10 years of experience working in higher education, with a diverse background in the areas of academic technologies, instructional design, teaching & learning, marketing, and project management.

Chris Larson

Chris Larson is the System Campus Stores Manager at University of Minnesota Bookstores. Chris has been with the Bookstores for over 20 years.  While completing his Masters in Public Affairs a few years ago, he focused on education policy, and was fortunate to be able to take a deep dive into open education and OER.

Janice Mertes

Janice Mertes leads the statewide Future Ready and Wisconsin Digital Learning Plan programs in addition to the State Superintendent’s Digital Learning Advisory Council (DLAC) focused on policy, practice, funding, and research. Janice coordinates partnership programming with the Wisconsin Digital Learning Collaborative (WDLC) to support online and blended learning along with other partners to support personalized, innovative student learning opportunities. The digital learning team supports the Wisconsin standards for Information and Technology Literacy, Keeping Kids Safe Online Cybersafety, WISELearn resource portal, digital leadership development, Title IVA and ESSA program support, coding, and district planning. Janice is a CoSN Certified Educator Technology Leader (CETL) and helps to coordinate the statewide credentialing program with the Wisconsin Education Technology Leaders. Janice serves on the SETDA Board of Directors and is currently the treasurer. She serves on the CoSN Driving Innovation workgroup for K-12. She was named as one of Ed Scoop’s Top 25 State Leaders in 2017.

Amber Olson

Amber Olson is the Digital Resources Specialist at UW-Stout. As the Digital Resources Specialist for our campus, she interacts with faculty, students, and publishers to coordinate access to materials. As a strong advocate of affordable education, she have taken on the role of co-chair of the “E”ffordability Summit planning committee, and has utilized her campus connections to help spread the word about Open education efforts and affordability measures to benefit our students. 

Erin Olson

Erin Olson is a Manager at Northwest Technical College.

Karen L. Pikula, PhD

Karen Pikula is the OER Faculty Development Coordinator for Minnesota State. Karen coordinates and facilitates their OER Faculty Development Learning Circles and other OER faculty development events and activities. She is also a Psychology Instructor at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minnesota.The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system or Minnesota State System, previously branded as MnSCU, comprises 30 state colleges and 7 state universities with 54 campuses throughout Minnesota. 

Kim Uetz

Kim Uetz is the Print Resource Specialist at UW-Stout. Working in the IRS Department her responsibility is ordering print textbooks and asked for free shipping, saving the university and students thousands of dollars.  I was on board when we began the pilot of digital textbook resources which has grown by leaps and bounds to 70% digital textbook resources. Working with faculty, staff and students is my passion..
