This summit is an invite-only event for PK-12 postsecondary state higher education administrators, state policymakers, and non-profit professionals representing organizations working to improve FAFSA policies and practices at the state level. Such groups include: state legislators and their staff members; state departments of PK-12 and postsecondary education; non-profit organizations focusing on college and career readiness and success; representatives of professional associations representing principals, superintendents, and guidance counselors; and education-oriented foundations. No, we are not offering a virtual option for this Summit.
There are NO fees to attend the Summit. A maximum of two nights hotel, per person, will also be covered for invited participants. Should your circumstance require additional nights, please contact MHEC for approval. All attendees are responsible for booking their own hotel.

Yes! You will receive complimentary internet within your guest room when booking the MHEC group rate.
You are required to cancel your own hotel room. The hotel has a cancellation policy of 72 hours prior to the check in date. To cancel your room, either follow the link within your hotel confirmation email or call the hotel reservations department at (312) 321-8895. MHEC is not responsible for any cancellation or no-show charges and will charge accordingly. View the Cancellation Policy for more details.

Hotel costs will be covered for invited participants with a maximum two-night stay per person. This includes the overnight room rate, plus any applicable parking charges and taxes. Should your circumstance require additional nights, please contact MHEC for approval. You will still be required to provide a credit card to confirm your hotel, however, your credit card will not be charged.
Our goal is to provide a safe experience for all participants. During our meeting, we will abide by all local requirements as well as follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines as much as we are able.

The conference attire is business attire. Remember to pack appropriately to accommodate for temperature fluctuations in the meeting room.
